B+ Content; A+ Consistency — David Perell

I have been following David Perell for some time now. I recently watched a video where he talked about how to grow one’s newsletter. One thing I loved about it was his advice on the frequency of emails (in the context of newsletters). He said that a B+ content and A+ consistency is better than an A+ content and B+ consistency. This resonated with me a lot because I believe in the power of consistency. The thing with consistency is that even if you had a perfect material but lack consistency in sharing it, chances are you’ll fall short in the end.

This is also applicable to content creation as well. It is easy to want a perfect draft before you send a newsletter or publish a blog post. However, sometimes what we want is consistency.

This also relates to another advice I heard, which states that quality may come from quantity. Obviously, if you don’t iterate enough times, it is hard to attain good quality.

In the same manner, if we only want to send out perfect content (especially, in early days), we might not accumulate enough quantity to produce quality in the end.
