Rwanda’s Economy Grew by 8.2% in 2023

According to the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Rwanda’s economy grew by a significant 8.2% in 2023, beating experts' predictions (6.2%). This growth was especially strong in the fourth quarter, where it reached 10%.

The data (provided by the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda) indicate that the growth of the economy was mainly driven by different sectors: services contributed 44%, agriculture 27%, industry 22%, and net indirect taxes made up 7%.
